Announcing ZHL Draft, Deadline, and Prospects Games

The ZHL Season 2 Draft will take place this Sunday, August 17, at 2pm Eastern time (11am Pacific). Eight owners will pick teams in a snake draft (1-8 round one, 8-1 round two, etc) in the following order:

1. Zenn Freeze (ooter, must pick self in round 3 to be eligible to play)
2. Kaldir Yetis (Anglefire, must pick self in round 2 to be eligible to play)
3. Korhal War Pigs (CountryKen, must pick self in round 2 to be eligible to play)
4. Mar Sara Threat Agents (Teroh, must pick self in round 3 to be eligible to play)
5. New Gettysburg Flyers (Guerrila, must pick self in round 1 to be eligible to play)
6. Tarsonis City Tigers (IrishLad, must pick self in round 1 to be eligible to play)
7. Zerus Redlings (brucecambell, must pick self in round 2 to be eligible to play)
8. Shakuras Inquisition (Watermelon, must pick self in round 1 to be eligible to play)

So far two owners (Anglefire and ooter) have indicated the possibility that they may forego the self-pick and thus their eligibility to play themselves in any games this season.

The Draft Deadline is 24 hours prior to the draft, Saturday, August 16, at 2pm Eastern time (11am Pacific). Registration will remain open after the draft deadline, but any player who isn’t registered by this time will not be eligible for the draft. They will, however, be eligible for free agency, which will open after the conclusion of 2 weeks of regular season games. The season schedule, including game times, trade deadline, the opening of the free agent market, and the free agency deadline, will be finalized by the time of the draft deadline. Until that time, voting is still open on best possible game times, so please weigh in!

Prospects Games will be taking place all day Saturday, August 16. In preparation for the draft, owners want to see what you might have to offer their team. In-house games will be conducted all day this day, and owners will be playing and/or spectating to learn about players they may not be familiar with in preparation for the draft. This is a great opportunity to show your stuff, and prove to owners they should pick you and start you in games this season.
